Airpods

One of the more controversial Apple announcements, Airpods are coming soon. Here’s the skinny:
2016_09_08airpods

  • Available late October
  • Wireless in-ear headphones
  • Turn on automatically and are always connected
  • Sense when in-ear, and pause when removed
  • Double-tap to activate Siri
  • Apple W1 chip for better wireless & improved sound
  • Airpods hold 5 hours of use per charge; charging case holds more than 24 hours of use, quick charging
  • Detect when you are speaking & focus on your voice

Now apparently, not everyone is convinced that Airpods are a good idea – complaints about a lack of features, overall design, and even the safety of the devices in homes with small children, abound. Time will tell how well the market responds, come late October.
